in response to kingauth...I hope your feeling better since the holiday is over. I know how you feel because I am disable, too. We barley get by if that. I have two grand kids that didn't get a gift from us. They are 2 yrs. old and 7 yrs. old. That is what I feel so bad about. The 7 yr. old had Wilm's Cancer when she was 3 yrs. old. she has no right kidney.
Maybe we all can have a after Christmas! Or something

Christmas help! I'm looking for help for my two grand daughters which are two and six years old and my son that missed two years of Christmas of being in the hospital. I'm on SSI, and neeed two more operations ( redo my hip and a total knee). I'm trying not to be so grumby and mean with everyone so sorry if I sounded so nasty before.
Hi! Thank you. Besides doing good at a shelter it's good therapy for humans too. I volunteered at one shelter and ended up working there. The dogs needs so much love and they give the love back. Don't forget the cats, I'm just more into dogs. Besides the animals ou meet a lot of new people. The people at the shelter where I worked were more business people. So, If you work with animals good, you just never know who is watching that has a business.
I hope things are a little better. Everyone that uses Aidpage is getting some type of help which is good. The main thing is asking for help, looking for the help, and then getting the help.The people here at Aidpage are great. If they don't have the answer they will find it. Sometimes all you need is someone to talk to. If you have spare time, no money go to a animal shelter and volunteer for a couple of hours. The animals will love it and it will make you feel great.

Sorry it took so long. THis is going to be short I just didn't want to be rude. My dad just passed away and I have to re-group. Is that okay? Normally my mind is going 100 miles a hour, not the fingers, well the back space is.
I'll keep you posted. Something is always going on in my life. Good or bad.
Sorry I haven't been around, my dad just passed away. I kind da took it hard. I have other family members living here in town, but they were no where to be found at the time of need. I stayed with my dad most of the time. The doctor got rude when I only asked the doctor " what kind of care my dad was getting." The doctor snapped at me, so I just told him that I only wanted to know. Gee, I only asked. I was holding my own.
in response to Starshine...Then u must be the same age as me. In UP Michigan, I really been looking. Honest, I've been! Looking for any HELP! for any:
1. computer-to work at home because disabled-why-physical and mental disorder
2. son-financial-mental (because of me and doctor)
3. own house --badly in need of repair
built in 1910-1920,foundation falling or crabbing apart, some windows are glued to stay in, and that is just some of the homey things. I hope this doesn't sound to petty. I'm just tired of not able to physical work and not getting some of the things I want and helping out people more. It just sucks! When both physical and mental go at once, watch out world! I'm a darn good worker but the body doesn't want to work.The brain never was there so forget sitting on butt, The legal stuff.
I don't sleep much. I worked in factory that I woke before that. Never had to use brain. Thank God!
Helping all of us can cause circle under your eyes. Take a five you deserve it.
in response to Schmidty...I have one more question for your great brain. Why is it that most every other dysfunction, disease, misfortune has some sort of help. Mental illness is a brain disorder that no one asked for. No one stands on the corner waving their hands saying "hey, me too". It's a pain in the butt for meds., hospitals, no money only to live on, to be upset for no reason, to have people misunderstand the whole thing of Mental Illness. The only support the mentally ill gets is emotionally. If financially they can not get by, even with the government. Remember, they only help with mental help.

in response to Starshine...Believe it or not Lower Michigan and Upper Michigan are the same state. Sometimes it really doesn't seem so. Look at the free computers for kids, that's for for the children for Lower Michigan. That's okay we have better air
in response to Starshine...That's a great page but I live in Upper Michigan, all that great info. is for Lower Michigan. I work at the North Woods Animal Shelter in Iron River and not once did they offer to help or even a discount. I worked with the dogs cleaning and stuff. Thank you for the good work!
in response to whoknew...I tried the Michigan Protection and Advocacy Services. She told me to contact the correctional department. So far I wrote to Attorney General, The Assistance Attorney General, and some more that I really can't remember right know. I really think there was some injustice done. But maybe that's the mother coming out. So far no one contacted me nor my son. I still have one letter here to mail out. I say mail out because sometimes my email doesn't go out. Thank you for the help
in response to zebra123...For Michigan, we would go back to Family Court. If the court papers say every other week you get the kids- then so be it.Go on computer, your state, find the law in family court. Hopefully it shouldn't cost you. Remember I am not a lawyer, just a grandma that will be doing the same once my son gets home. Never be a shame to ask questions in court. The people that work their get paid.
in response to soulight...I have a 2 yr. old German Shepard that has a short urethra. She had this problem since she was a pup. I'm scared it's going to affect her kidneys. I haven't been able to take to the vet in a long time because we only live on my SSA check. Do you know if this program goes for Upper Michigan? The picture you see is her. Plus I have two Beagles. Beagles health are good.
I live in Michigan. I'm trying to get a service dog for my son that has serious mental problems. Does anyone know how to go about it? He is on SSI and I'm on SSA so It'll have to be financial assisted or something. This kid has gone through so much. Not that anyone else hasn't. And what he goes through I do. My son needs one. Once the State of Michigan gets a hold of you and you are mentally ill, your screwed. It starts with early prevention ( we kept on asking every one for help). Then they kept him isolation for 2 months, turned downed down the heat so he was shaking and his hands were red. I called and asked for them to turn up the heat, they said they would give him a blanket. While in isolation they tased him. The judge gave him extra days because he would not sign some papers ( the judge knew he didn't sign papers because of his illness) and thinking the other inmates were gang member and they were after him to harm him, yes I did tell the officers. I was hoping,they would have a brain and get him into treatment. Remember this is a county jail. Okay, he is out of jail. He is twice as bad. I've never seen him this way (violent). He is sent to a hospital, that lasted 2 week because he tore apart his room. Back to court, same lawyer---Did I say lawyer that suppose to help you, I forgot.He has no less than 2 months in Michigan State operated Psychiatric Hospital. Can these people smear your face on the floor? This is not my son, yes he had a temper but that is it. Why is it when you cry for HELP! it seems everyone turns around.
